BDSwiss Makes Charitable Donation to St. George Christakis Hassapis Foundation

As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and its efforts to positively contribute to the local community, BDSwiss has recently made a charitable donation to St. George Christakis Hassapis Centre for Children with Special Needs. 

Joining in the acts of solidarity by the wider community, BDSwiss’ latest donation aims to support the restoration efforts of the St. George Christakis Hassapis Foundation after it was severely damaged by a devastating fire on June 9th, 2020. At the time of writing, restorations are still ongoing and the centre is relying solely on charitable donations to make the necessary repairs to fully resume operations. 

BDSwiss’ donation was presented by BDSwiss Financial Controller Gregori Papagregoriou, who along with a small group of BDSwiss representatives had the opportunity to meet with the centre’s management and learn more about the urgent needs of the centre. 

About  St. George Christakis Hassapis Foundation:

St. George Christakis Hassapis Centre for Children with Special Needs was established in 1992 in Larnaca, Cyprus with a mission to support and nurture children and adults with severe mental and physical disabilities – a large number of which live permanently at the Centre. The annual government grant provided to the centre covers a very small percentage of its operational costs, which is why the centre continues to rely on additional financial support to cover its overwhelming expenses.
